Terms & conditions
Delegate conditions, the Chatham House Rule and our code of conduct.
These terms apply to all Black Sky Events registrations. partnership agreements are governed by their own contracted terms.
Delegate eligibility
In-house practitioner passes are reserved for direct employees of end-user organisations. Consultants, technology vendors, software suppliers, recruiters and service providers must register on a commercial pass. Black Sky Events reviews every registration and may reclassify or decline a registration, refunding any difference or the full fee.
Payment
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise. Registration is confirmed on receipt of payment or an approved purchase order. Early-bird pricing applies until the published cut-off or until the allocation is exhausted, whichever is earlier.
Transfers
A confirmed registration may be transferred to another eligible colleague at no charge up to five business days before the summit, subject to the transferee meeting the eligibility criteria for that pass type.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations received more than 30 days before the summit are refunded in full less a processing fee. Cancellations between 30 and 14 days receive a 50% refund or a full credit toward the next Black Sky summit. Cancellations inside 14 days are non-refundable, though a name transfer remains available.
Chatham House Rule
Working groups and nominated sessions operate under the Chatham House Rule: participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of any speaker or participant may be revealed. Recording of any session by delegates is prohibited.
Program changes
The program, faculty and venue are correct at the time of publication. Black Sky Events may substitute speakers, adjust session content or relocate the summit to a comparable venue where circumstances require. Such changes are not grounds for refund.
Postponement and force majeure
If a summit cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, registrations transfer to the rescheduled date or to the next comparable Black Sky summit. Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and any related insurance.
Code of conduct
Black Sky summits are professional forums. Harassment, intimidation, aggressive commercial solicitation of practitioners and disclosure of Chatham House content are grounds for removal without refund and exclusion from future events.
Photography and recording
Black Sky Events may photograph or record general summit proceedings for reporting and promotional purposes. Delegates who do not wish to appear should advise our operations team on arrival, and we will accommodate that request.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Black Sky Events' liability in connection with a summit is limited to the registration fee paid. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
