Privacy policy

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy covers information collected through this website, summit registration, speaker submissions and partnership enquiries.

// 01

What we collect

When you register, submit a session, or make an enquiry we collect your name, job title, organisation, corporate email, contact phone and the content of your message, along with pass and dietary or accessibility preferences where you provide them.

// 02

Why we collect it

We use your information to verify delegate eligibility, administer your registration, operate the summit, respond to enquiries, and send program updates for the summit you registered interest in.

// 03

Delegate lists and partners

We do not sell delegate data. Partner access to delegate contacts is opt-in only: contacts are shared with a partner where you have expressly consented, or where you have participated in that partner's working group and consented at the time.

// 04

Service providers

We use third-party providers for email delivery, registration processing, payment processing and website hosting. These providers process information on our instructions and only to the extent needed to deliver their service.

// 05

Security and retention

We hold personal information using access-controlled systems and retain it only as long as needed for the purpose collected or as required by law, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

// 06

Direct marketing and consent

Program and summit communications always include an unsubscribe option. Withdrawing consent does not affect a confirmed registration.

// 07

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing us. We acknowledge requests within five business days.

// 08

Chatham House content

Contributions made in sessions operating under the Chatham House Rule are not recorded against your identity, and post-summit reporting is written so individuals and organisations cannot be identified.

Privacy enquiries can be sent to contact@blacksky.events.
